Local industries

The industry in Tamsui centers on "tourism and leisure" and "local delicacies," blending its rich history and culture with its riverside scenery. Key industry features include traditional street food (A-gei, fish balls, and fish crisps), cultural and creative industries, marine tourism at Fisherman's Wharf, and cultural and educational tourism featuring historical sites such as Fort San Domingo and Aletheia University. It is gradually transforming from a traditional port into an urban area characterized by "culture + tourism," committed to a diversified development model that combines historical sites, cultural creativity, and fine dining.


Bali's industries are mainly based on "international logistics," "tourism services," and "specialty agriculture," leveraging the maritime advantages of Taipei Port to actively develop smart manufacturing and green energy industries. The local stone processing industry has a long history and is mainly distributed along both sides of Provincial Highway 15. It also has famous specialty agricultural products such as pomelos. The tourism industry is centered around the Left Bank Wharf, the Waziwei Mangrove Ecological Recreation Area, and the Thirteen Lines Museum.
